The room is motel-style, but the way the parking lot is, we could not park next to our room. The wireless internet was intermittent, which was annoying. They have a business center, and also a 'print station' to print out boarding passes, when the business center is closed. The location is nice, but there are no other casinos within walking distance, if you want to check out the other casinos and do not have a car. We had a car, and I liked being a little away from downtown. If it's OK to mention other businesses - If you have a car, the Black Bear Diner (just up Virginia Ave) has great breakfast. The Great Basin Brewing Co. is just south on Virgina Ave (we had the pizza and sampled a few of the micro-brews).

My wife and I stayed at the Atlantis last weekend, and were highly disappointed. We made the mistake on not booking through Travel Agency. We arrived at the hotel about 7pm and went to check in to out room with a king size bed. We weretold ny Ricky at the registration desk that he did not have a king size bed available, and would we like a lower or upper floor. We asked him about the king bed, and he repeated the question, ignoring our reservation for the king bed. He informed us that we would be getting a room with two queen beds, and that was it. There was nobody watinig behind us, and he seemed to just want to move us along, without any concerns for our needs. I even mentioned that it seemd we have no choice, and that he doesn't seem the least bit concerned with our satisfaction. He responded that he was trying to accomodate us with an upper floor, but no king bed. I asked him if we could be moved to a different room tomorrow, he replied that e could call tomorrow to find out. We frustratedly took the room, dropped off our things, and came down to speak to a manager. The manager magically found a room with a king size bed, but wanrned us that it might not be a good room due to it being very close to the elevators. She did offer to move us to another room tomorrow, which we selected. We expressed our disappointment with her employee, and she halfheartedly apologized. She told us that everything would be taken care of automatically for the move tomorrow, but encouraged us top call in the morning to find out when the move would occur.

We stayed in the two story motel near the main building. We were ground floor and overhead, kids stomed and jumped off the bed onto the floor well into the night so we found it necessary to call security so we could sleep. Only hotel fault here is the poor sound insulation. The rooms in this part of the complex are extremely spartan. Zero extras but rates do not reflect the Motel 6 class of the rooms. Other than the idiots overhead, the section is quite and if the rates were scaled down would be OK for the frugal traveler.
